About this deal

Panasonic has had its more expensive version of the "nifty fifty" available for some time, the 25mm ƒ/1. is easy to carry - It's very small, featherweight and by offerring more control over depth of Field adds a real difference to composition over the basic kit lens. But if asked what is the best lens bargain to be had this is always the first lens that comes to mind.

The lens features 8 elements in 7 groups, including 1 UHR (Ultra High Refractive Index) and 2 aspherical elements. MPB will also keep you informed about the status of your gear at every step of the way and the whole process is carbon neutral. Just like f/number iso cannot be compared across different sensor sizes because it's a per unit area quantity and has nothing to do with the signal of the image. With smaller sensor formats such as Micro Four Thirds, you simply shoot at larger apertures than with full-frame or APS-C cameras.

Aspherical lenses help to prevent both spherical and distortion aberration so images remain sharp and clear when dealing with bright light sources. What this means it won’t feel as good as something like a Leica lens or anything with a metal focus ring.version is slightly sharper; however, you would have to peep very closely indeed to see the difference. Enable the “constant preview” to prevent this behaviour and your camera will focusing with the aperture that you set.
