About this deal

These high-quality, all-weather high-powered binoculars let you see your subject 15x closer making them great long-distance binoculars. I have used a 15x50 Canon IS for several years with NiMH batteries, nominal 1,2 volts, and now for about eight years I have used similar batteries in the 10x42 IS L (sold the 15x50). Welcome to BirdForum, the internet's largest birding community with thousands of members from all over the world. To make it easy we’ve teamed up with Deko whose technology lets you apply for and complete a loan application quickly, easily and informatively.

The focuser is smooth and play free, easy to operate with left hand while the right hand is pressing on IS button. The IS works perfectly and the optics are so good that the views of the night sky often assume a kind of three-dimensionality. That was because the focus action is light enough that the objective lens system, which moves when focusing, would creep slightly outwards, towards near focus, while the binoculars hang on your chest. My point was that this downside of the Konig should be eliminated when using Canon IS binos and thus it could be a good aid in supporting the heavier IS models for longer viewing sessions.Fast and easy trade in service ensures your old gear is collected efficiently and you are paid quickly! I have used the Canon 10x42 IS before and they were pretty awesome, the stabilization really does work, I was impressed, the downsize was they felt awkward to hold and they are heavy. This is in contrast to many responses to a thread I started a while ago asking about this specific issue. The majority of today’s binoculars have a twist up eyecup design and so can be quickly adjusted for optimum comfort.

Fitted with their proprietary Vari-Angle prism electronic image stabilization system, the Canon 15x50 IS All-Weather Image Stabilized Binoculars are an ideal optic for bird and nature watching, marine use, or astronomical use. Superb quality, high power binoculars with 15x magnification and Canon precision optics featuring an Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) lens element to reduce chromatic aberration and the Super Spectra lens coating that delivers vivid, high contrast view with accurate colours. Save time and money with a Canon subscription service that puts your printing needs first and lets you print your way. However, for prolonged astro use I find I need a mono/tripod, which is fine when I'm in the UK, but I do go abroad fairly often - sometimes to some truly dark-sky places and like to travel light. It's likely that no further discussion is required, in which case we recommend starting a new thread. The 15x50 binos have a tough, all weather design that is certified to JIS 4, meaning that they will keep you going during use in challenging environmental conditions.

Enjoy high quality performance, low cost prints and ultimate convenience with the PIXMA G series of refillable ink tank printers. Even with monopod Jupiter and Saturn were dancing a bit in 15x70, but with Canon the views were rock steady.

High magnification (15x) binocular with large 50mm objective lenses and Canon's excellent image stabilisation system to help reduce hand shake. The details will follow, but to sum up IS 15x50 were as good in terms of reach and resolution, and often even better than conventional 15x70 on monopod.

SpaceBass: Thanks for the link - it looks interesting and if it were made from carbon fibre could be a useful lightweight alternative to a 'pod especially for travel to remote places. A month or so ago a friend who owns a new pair of the 10x42 IS L took his unit back for service because he was bothered by "jerkiness" in the image. The Deko platform is provided by Pay4Later Ltd, t/a Deko which acts as a credit broker, not a lender and does not charge you for credit broking services. She was especially pleased with the performance observing gulls and ducks on the Central Park reservoir, a roughly circular water about a half mile across. As my fitness has increased over the last 15 months or so from cycling, I've noticed that my heart beats harder even at rest (not faster or blood pressure related if that makes any sense, or maybe my veins are nearer to the skin as there is less fat in the way! This takes a lot of the strain off your arms and shoulders, and makes long periods of scanning the skies easy and comfortable.
