About this deal
I am especially blown away to have learned that Alf's son and daughter were there during the wedding scenes.
Having watched the original series again and again (years ago), enjoying the incredible charm and beauty of it, I must say the remake of 2020 holds up very well. Superb performance by the cast of the new updated series, The first show in 1978-1990 was ok, but it didn’t get the characters right as described by the books, Siegfried was too old, and Tristan, the first Helen, and James were not on the mark. It's taught and witty thanks to distinguished dramatist Hugh Whitemore's delightful script and as comforting as a warm blanket, a stodgy tea and a roaring fire on a winter's evening. He soon discovers that treating the animals is as much about treating their owners, and the Dalesʼ farmers are a tough crowd to please.

Once there, he quickly discovers that treating the animals is as much about looking out for their owners: there are plenty of people and animals to care for, challenges to meet, and life-affirming lessons to learn along the way. Series One begins in 1937 as James Herriot, a newly qualified animal surgeon, moves to a small town in Yorkshire to begin his first job with the irritable but kind veterinarian Siegfried Farnon. We also sell a wide range of refurbished Mobile Phones and Tech from major brands like Apple, Samsung, Sony, Microsoft and much more.Any feelings of disappointment, with the storyline, are so small and easily, overcome by the excellent choice of actors, and their skill with regard to telling the wonderful story of this veterinarian. Tagline: The trials and misadventures of the staff of a country veterinary office in Yorkshire from the 1930s to the 1950s. One season was just stuck inside the plastic case loose (the plastic case only has spaces for 6 seasons). Despite being met with much scepticism from a number of the locals James finds himself growing increasingly drawn to the place, especially when he begins falling for local woman Helen Alderson (Rachel Shenton).
Newly qualified vet James (Nicholas Ralph) moves from Scotland to rural Darrowby in the Yorkshire Dales working alongside the experienced and demanding Siegfried Farnon (Samuel West). As Helen and James navigate their feelings for one another, a trip back to Glasgow in Series Two presents a dilemma which leaves James having to decide whether to follow his head or his heart. The series had two runs: the original (1978 to 1980, based directly on Herriot's books) was for three series; the second (1988 to 1990, filmed with original scripts) for four. Claude Whatham's 1974 film All Creatures Great and Small is a modest and charming cornucopia of nostalgia, cuddly calves, romance and acerbic-yet-warm-hearted Yorkshire folk.
I finished watching the first three seasons for the fifth time waiting for some channel to play the other seasons after Helen Drinkwater left the series. It brings with it an amazing beauty and quality that sets it apart from the mediocrity of many of todays programs. Find out about the cast, delve into James Herriot’s books, watch the cast discuss their characters, and more. Meanwhile, the Skeldale family is forced to consider its purpose in Darrowby and beyond as the Second World War looms.
Channel 5, which must be the least-watched of the main television channels, certainly seems to have scored a hit with its commissioning of a remake of the one-time popular and long-running series All Creatures Great And Small, based on the books by the Yorkshire-based vet James Herriot. He soon discovers that treating the animals is as much about treating their owners, and the Dales' farmers are a tough crowd to please.
