AMEER AL OUD Intense Arabian Oudh Perfume Eau De Parfum 100ml Men Women Unisex Fragrance
About this deal
This is one of 30 Lattafa scents I purchased a year ago which have sat on the shelf unopened until this week. They're so different from each other and all have their unique twists and advantages over the original. The first 2-3 times I used it, it wasn’t anything grand but the more time my nose spent with this fragrance the more I fell in love with it.
I cannot detect oud nor vanilla (at least at first, not sure how this develops as I couldn’t even bear wearing it for 5 minutes).
The smell is fall, if you grew up with a wood stove this will give you that nostalgia of that with dark brown molasses-y sugar and a faint herbal note, that medicinal herbal note I tend to HATE(I am getting rid of my Perles de Lalique for this same reason that patchouli in it just got too medicinal and zings in the cold) in this it is so so mellow and blended you pick up on it but appreciate it in passing as the other notes overwhelm you. The smell did not leave my body, and to me smelled so pungent; yet when i got in the car i was complimented by every member of my family straight away. When I first got this I thought I had a problem because with 10 sprays I got hardly anything, after a few months I get marzipan for an hour or so before fading to absolutely nothing. I know many comments said this fragrance isn’t appropriate for office wear but it’s winter and I like it so I don’t care. Ameer al oudh intense oud is a really good sweet, woodsy fragrance with that subtle scent of roasted marshmallows when drying down.
Privee Couture Collection Tuscan Leather is a Chypre blend of notes brings a raw, yet reserved sensuality to this original take on a classic leather scent. And the combination of temperature differences, long travel AND a lack of maceration (or just not long enough) in Arab perfumes makes sure you *could* - here too there are happy exceptions - initially miss out on top notes (always first to be damaged), sweet base notes, or just get a cloud of alcohol and then little else. Because it's both lineair and so focused on wood it is absolutely ideal for anyone who considers themselves a Fragologist (©️™️ My term for a Fragrance Mixologist). Even if I intend on smelling something different, most of the time I still end up choosing to wear Ameer Al Oudh Intense over everything else. However, Aoud Vanille is more complex and has stronger performance, with an oud-ier presence up front.
It is a complex scent which develops as time wears on into the most beautiful caramelly vanillic smokey fragrance. It is a true unisex fragrance, and I do not care how hot it is or what time of day it is - I douse myself in it. Through the entire scene a rogue wind steals the smoke from the fire and hits your nose with ash from last night's fire instead.Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud, is addictive, tasty, and surrounds you with a woody and sweet mist, soft, but persistent. While it smells great and intriguing, I just cannot think of any scenario where this is a good pick. The oud is blended with the vanilla and other woods so well I cannot pick them completely apart but it is an obvious woody oud it goes with the other woody scents, the herbal note could even be a bit pine-ish. Rarely do I try to scrub a scent I'm trying for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd time, but this one simply does not work for me.
In comparison, this fragrance is very similar to Lattafa Raghba, though I find myself preferring Ameer. In the opening it smells like burning caramel and then turns into Smokey woody and there is no leather in it. Where i live even the winters are hot, but if you live in a cool place/intend to be at a cold place for your event, and enjoy really sweet perfumes, you can rock this so hard. This unisex fragrance seduces with classic Middle Eastern incense notes topping a heart of mysterious.
Further into the drydown, as the sun starts to set on our scene notes of rich tobacco show up out of nowhere like a mysterious mountain man smoking a pipe who was drawn into your camp by the nascent promise of molten confectionary. The performance is quite high and you are bound to have a 10~12 hours longevity and a sillage of more than six feet at its peak. If you already own the Replica I'll carefully - cause not 100% - say that I think you could try out the Lattafa without having to fear for a clone in your collection. It's that touch of sweetness that makes this so good over the OG and RWI just smells like burnt rubber over dirty carmel. The opening smoother but still a chemical mess however far into the dry drown, about 4-5 hours it starts becoming such an addictive and cozy scent.
