The Buckle-upp Anti Escape System is a cushioned mesh cover that attaches to the car seat harness buckle and covers the release button. But to comply with requirements set out in EU car seatbelt regulations, the distance between the belt guide at the vehicle seatbelt tongue and the edge of the backrest bottom/seat surface should not exceed 150mm.

They are not intended as a substitute for adequate control and care when transporting children who do not have special needs. The BuckleRoo™ Seat Belt Buckle Guard prevents little fingers from releasing seat belts while the vehicle is in motion. The ratings/reviews displayed here may not be representative of every listing on this page, or of every review for these listings. This buckle guard is bulkier but can be used with most buckles that aren’t set down into the seat, and it works like a medicine bottle top: https://incarsafetycentre. Whilst the DVSA has revised it’s advice on the use of the guards, and although it states in the 17th February 2023 bulletin that it “has no plans to target enforcement action against their use”, the agency is consulting the Department for Education, Department for Transport, Schools, Local Authorities and parents about this matter, so it remains on their “radar” for the foreseeable future. Make sure any you choose are securely attached, especially as the suction pads could fall off or be pulled off by small children and become a choking hazard. Once you've arrived at your destination, stick your car key into the release slot and disconnect the belt.

The simple fact is that one of the biggest problems travelling with babies and young children in a car, is the accidental undoing of seat belts. In using either the Unisafety Harness or Buckle / Angel Guards / Buckle Boss, there is an added risk, that in the case of a vehicle accident, those assisting in any rescue may not know how to release the harness / guards. The materials used in our buckle covers derive from the automobile industry and are mostly used for upholstery which makes them the most suitable for our items. Please provide your vehicle registration at check out and after you purchase this seat a member of the In Car Safety team will check it is compatible with your vehicle.

It's a fabric harness that fits over the five-point harness of the child seat, reducing the size of the arm holes to make it much harder for arms to slip out of shoulder straps. It comes with a head support band that can be folded down for additional support when the child has fallen asleep preventing the head from flopping forward. The idea is that you clip it to the adult seatbelt to pull it down and up so that it sits across the correct parts of your child's body.
