About this deal

The concept boils down to the importance of repetition, of meditation, and on engaging your imagination until it sparks hope. The knowledge is here and the only way to get to it is to study, but you have to know what to study.

Those can limit our lives and actions, so we need to change them; the first step is to become aware of the paradigms that limit us and recognise them. by changing your perspective through a change in paradigm, you can completely change your current reality and the emotions you are holding.

Paradigm Shifts: Bob Proctor emphasizes that the way we perceive the world and ourselves is shaped by our paradigms – our belief systems and mental models. Perhaps my biggest sticking point = the commentary regarding changing your paradigm to promote weight loss. he is a highschool dropout who became a millionaire by teaching people how to manifesting throughout his books and live sessions. Mindset and Beliefs: The book delves into how our beliefs and thoughts determine our actions and results.

This book will synthesize his decades of study, application, and teaching to:• Explain what paradigms are and how they guide every move you make• Teach you how to identify your paradigms• Show you how to make your own Paradigm Shift• Help you transform your finances, health and lifestyle when you change your paradigm • Guide you on how to replace a paradigm that doesn't serve you well with a new one that frees you to create the life you really wantBob will break through the myth many people have about success—that long hours and hard work are sufficient to achieve lasting success. Primarily, shifting one’s paradigm to define success; it may not be money or status based but focused on what brings you purpose and happiness (although, that is contradictory to other statements, found elsewhere in the book about how easy it should be to select goals and focus efforts towards earning lots of money).

I struggled with Proctor’s foundational philosophy - it’s a bit of Christian theology shaken up with “laws” of attraction and vibration. Change Your Paradigm, Change Your Life" is indeed a book by Bob Proctor, a renowned personal development and success coach. However, I don’t like guru, the « do exactly what I will tell you », nor the fact that he does not recognize that our society has many bias towards minorities and women.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Additionally, I agree with the understanding that no growth can occur without challenge/difficulty and acknowledging the difference between the simple gathering of knowledge and the application of that knowledge into wisdom through action (eg getting a degree and doing nothing with it or reading a lot but never rereading or reflecting on the lessons). Your paradigms may be masked in complacency, fear, worry, anxiety, insecurities, self-doubt, mental hurry, and self-loathing - the result is keeping you stuck. Without changing it, without believing different stuff , we can’t become what we really want and we will always fall back to our default mode. All the small examples from a real-life situation that the author (interviewer) and the interviewee shares with their audience. The key is, getting to the point where the image or idea or belief you want makes it from your conscious mind down into your subconscious mind. I was thankfully able to pull out some nuggets from this book but I feel like the good parts were only enough to make maybe one total chapter. This book was interesting as it contains a few nuggets: The concept of vibrating at the level of your goal is really interesting, reading one book over and over (while reading other books), setting your intention, starting with the end in mind/ visualizing the outcome. Since starting my personal development journey proper around 5 years ago, these kind of techniques and tips have made a huge difference to me and my goals.

I realize that there are those who value the Secret and the “if you can envision it, it can happen” self-help BS, but essentially building an industry on other people’s desire for better has led to stuff like this being viewed as valid. Also, a note to any future readers, some of this book is based on the law of attraction and belief in God. Change Your Paradigm Change Your Life’ is an interview style book between interviewer Dan Strutzel, and interviewee Bob Proctor, a high-school dropout turned millionaire who is also a motivational speaker and author of bestselling books. As for this particular book: as much as I don’t love listening to old, rich, white guys talk about how you can also become rich by being just like them, I did appreciate the central messages of gratitude, of every person’s internal, infinite worth and potential, and about finding your purpose comes from understanding and analyzing who you are, your gifts, and what you want. By completing your purchase, you agree to Audible's Conditions of Use and authorise Audible to charge your designated card or any other card on file. You really have to FEEL the change, dig deep and understand yourself, and apply your desired changes in day to day life. I will however look for one sharing notions about the attitude, the visualization and the goal setting.
