Johnnie Walker Double Black is an intense, full-bodied Scotch created as a smokier interpretation of the iconic Black Label. This darker expression delivers powerful smoky flavours packed full of peat, rich with raisins and a smoky, vanilla spice finish. It may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without the prior consent of Waitrose Limited nor without due acknowledgement. Some say the blend is similar to an Island scotch like Talisker, and that it'd be best without water.

Laphroaig and the now expensive Lagavulin are my preference (smoke, peat, iodine, TCP, seaweed, tar, the Full Monty) and I never, ever drank blends. I bought a bottle of this when it was first released and didn't feel it offered anything over the std JWBL.
