About this deal

It is designed to mimic the womb with a soft pink glow and four calming ‘pink noise’ sounds (rainfall and heartbeat, womb sounds and heartbeat, vacuum cleaner and heartbeat, and harp melody and heartbeat) each of which will play for 20 minutes at a time. It's not the most attractive looking gift for a new baby, but this is the second time I have purchased 'Ewan the Dream Sheep'. I have used a different product with my other boy for the past three years and I think I still prefer it in some ways. This incredibly adorable and irresistibly huggable cuddly toy is designed to replicate the soothing comfort of the womb. Georgie and Lydia will be sharing a room full time starting next month, and so I wanted to try putting them together at nap time in the afternoons, to ease them into the idea.

The Ewan Deluxe Dream Sheep easily attaches to cot bars, pushchairs, or car seats using his Velcro tail strap. The sounds, which play for 20 minutes, are all recorded at the low base frequency the baby can predominantly hear when in the womb, known as the 125Hz 'pink noise' range.

Which is lovely, but it would be really good for us all if he could sleep for longer than two hours at a time. Having had it with her since birth - it came with us to hospital when we were readmitted at day five, and has gone with her on all the overnight stays with the grandparents. I managed to convince my sceptical husband that although Ewan doesn’t look much more than a cute toy, I had seen dozens of recommendations and mentions of his super powers online and I wanted him. It’s fine to do when it’s daylight and your baby isn’t shouting, but at night, in a darkened room with a fussy baby, it’s a lot more frustrating.

I would definitely recommend SweetDreamers Ewan The Dream Sheep to other parents, as it is so easy to move around.

Multi award-winning, super cute cuddly ewan the sheep mimics the comfort of the womb with a selection of ‘pink and white noise’ soothing sounds, including actual recordings of womb and heartbeat, combined with a warm pink calming glow, to lull your new-born or toddler into a peaceful slumber. I bought it the first time for my daughter who told me that it actually worked and helped settle my granddaughter at night, giving both parents a chance of some sleep too. With our first daughter, we tried everything, including an iPad Twinkle Twinkle Little Star playlist, the Elmer Lantern Night Light, Love-To-Dream Sleep Swaddles and shushing over a two-way baby monitor. It is just that after 3 months of use I can tell that the qualities of the product itself does not turn out to be the perfect sound machine. But, in reality, babies do make little noises throughout the night and Ewan came on to soothe ours every time.

We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. There are three buttons to turn the light on and off, a button to change the sound (you can choose from the different options and then press the big button to activate your choice) and a volume control button that can be turned to a loud or quiet setting.

A: Yes, you have complete control over the smart CRY sensor and can switch it off when not required. Among these comforting sounds is an authentic actual recording of a heartbeat, with a familiar and reassuring rhythm similar to what they experienced in their mother’s womb. I would recommend the SweetDreamers Ewan The Dream Sheep to another mum, just down to how well it helps relax and sooth my four-month-old. To turn it off, press and hold for another three seconds and three beeps will indicate it’s no longer on. I’ll be giving away one of these cuddly dream sheep next month as part of my Big Birthday Bonanza Giveaway, along with a LOT of other great prizes, so make sure you come back to check that out!

We highly recommend using Lithium Ion batteries but if this is not possible we would recommend high quality Alkaline batteries for use in our products. I think it is a really easy product to use – just put the batteries in and then press the foot to get the desired sound. This red glow uses the POWER OF SCIENCE to help trigger the release of the sleepy hormone ‘melatonin’ which induces a peaceful and restful sleep. He is starting to recognise the sounds coming from Ewan, and it is settling him to sleep rather than me sitting with him or rocking him to sleep.
