CBeebies: The Album
About this deal
Disclosure: I was provided with a copy of the CBeebies CD free of charge for the purpose of this review. Seeing little man’s reaction of delight and glee to hearing songs from his favourite shows brings a huge smile to my face and the fact that his excitement is infectious and the songs are catchy means I have not been able to resist having a little boogie myself, having had lots of fun joining little man for a mad dance to this album. He soon overcame his confusion why the shows were not on the TV and happily pranced and danced around the room the songs on the album.
Alas, it looks like they couldn’t get the ‘Roll up your sleeves’ song from ‘I Can Cook’ (which would have been the best thing ever) but a big huge hurrah, as this new compilation – released today – has the Cbeebies presenters songs included for the first time – something these compilations have been missing for a while. They are lovely songs, but if you have to listen to them several dozen times a day, then you start to wish you were elsewhere. Released on the 5th of November 2012, CBeebies The Album is a brand new 2 CD collection with a whopping 50 tracks that includes popular CBeebies theme tunes, songs from hit CBeebies shows and songs from the CBeebies presenters. I went away for a few days recently, being a normal person (OK, one with a bit of a nail polish habit), rather than a mummy. In fact, it’s got pretty much every current Cbeebies character’s song, so you too can dance around the room in a crazy manner to the Yacki song from Baby Jake.
Disc 1 6 Mike the Knight (Theme Tune) Disc 1 7 Meet the Veggies (Mr Bloom's Nursery) Disc 1 8 Gigglebiz (Theme Tune) Disc 1 9 In the Night Garden. There are a couple of theme tunes of shows that are no longer on Cbeebies, but the majority you will know if you are exposed to this wonderful tv channel for kids. I have never realised just how many CBeebies songs and tunes I know until we listened to a newly released CD " CBeebies The Album" (and if you are a fan of CBeebies, today, 5th of November 2012, is the day when you can get your own album). There are 2 CD’s each containing 25 tracks, including the Summer and Winter songs and my personal favourites – Goodbye Sun, Hello Moon and The Time has come to say Goodnight which signals bedtime in our house. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. I am impressed with the huge number of songs included on this album and I like the fact that because there is an impressive 50 songs there is plenty of variety of songs, themes and musical styles.
