About this deal

All in all, I’ve spent about 50% of my time between 2011 to 2013 traveling! I look forward to visiting new places such as South America, Canada, Japan, Korea, and New Zealand moving forward.

When’s the last time you gave someone a surprise? :) It’s always heartwarming to come home to a nicely cooked dinner, to have a bouquet of flowers sent to you at work, or to even receive a simple text message from a loved one. Who is someone you would like to touch today? What surprise can you give to him/her? Be Specific: Instead of vague goals like “travel more,” get specific. Where do you want to go? What do you want to do there? Specify destinations, activities, and even timeframes if possible. It’s just like planning all the highlights for YOUR life. :D Even though I already set goals by default, I still found many new things to do while writing on my own list. It was an incredibly insightful exercise. What’s more, coming up with my list gave me new-found enthusiasm knowing what I have planned ahead for my life!

10. Walk the White Cliffs of Dover

We get it – sitting down and making a list of all the things you want to do in life can be a tad bit intimidating. That’s why we’ll provide you with suggestions every step of the way. Now, take out your pen and paper or open up a text document. Start writing down what comes to mind as you read these questions: Daily journal: Use your notebook to set daily goals, reflect on your experiences, and document your adventures. This will help you discover what activities are most meaningful to you. As humans, we spend all of our lives on land. Yet there is a whole world under the sea that we’re not privy to! Do you know that 71% of the Earth’s surface is actually the ocean? And do you know that because of the ocean’s depth, it contains about 300 times the habitable volume of the terrestrial habitats on Earth — and many ocean species are still to be discovered?

Let’s face it, travel is awesome, but it also involves a lot of planning and expense. Get specific about the reasons it’s worth pursuing anyway. Teaching is one of the most rewarding things we can do. No matter how old you are, even if you are in your teens, you are always in the position to mentor someone else — perhaps someone who is more junior than you or someone who is older but can benefit from a particular expertise you have. Mentoring others is also a great way for you to develop yourself too. Why I Climb” — an article by a climber who has climbed over 300,000 vertical feet, 90,000 on Everest expeditions alone

Should I have a bucket list?

Set Aside Time: Find a quiet and relaxed environment where you can brainstorm and think about your life goals and desires. It could be a cozy corner at home, a park, or a coffee shop. Creating your list can feel overwhelming. It takes Inner Work® and self-reflection to create a list that aligns with your values. There are many ways you can approach this. But, if you need a hand, BetterUp is here. Our coaches can help you figure out what matters to you and thrive. Let’s go with travel. It’s a natural starting point. Where in the world do you want to go most? When you dream of the perfect holiday, what pops into your head first? That’s probably the right place to start. From travel, you can move over to experiences, as often they’re intertwined. Eat croissants in Paris or visit the Great Wall of China? Perhaps you want to see the gorillas in Uganda?
